Hope Lies at Derby ID-Fest

Just a quick note – we’re going to be reporting/blogging/podcasting/tweeting live from the floor of the Derby ID-Fest from tomorrow for a couple of days, with an array of great films lined up and on our radar.

Saturday opens with a screening of Ken Russell’s The Boy Friend, while elsewhere we’re also keen to check out Bela Tarr’s latest, The Turin Horse, although an on-stage discussion with Brian Blessed might actually take precedent over that! Sunday is anchored by our very exciting screening of Sunrise: A Song Of Two Humans, but there are all manner of other items of note, not least a very special screening of Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time In The West accompanied by an evening of conversation with Sir Christopher Frayling. Check out the complete line-up here, and keep an eye on the site for regular updates throughout the weekend.
