This year’s London Film Festival opens in just a few days time, and will be setting the agenda for the week or so that follows. Tailored daily coverage will hit Hope Lies At 24 Frames Per Second each day, while our Twitter feed will feature the most up to date on-the-ground coverage. We’re also going to use the festivities to launch a couple of other projects, with The Auteurs, the first of an ongoing series landing during the LFF, and offering an in-depth look at the work of one of the filmmakers whose latest picture is screening there. Periodical 3 is also set to arrive at some point during the next fortnight, iTunes-pending.
While the London Film Festival caters for many of the country’s south-based cinephiles, it’s perhaps comforting to note for those in the north that the programme for this years Leeds Film Festival launches later this evening. Early signs are good, with screenings of Abdellatif Kechiche’s Blue Is The Warmest Colour and Chantal Akerman’s Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles amongst the titles already announced. We’re looking forward to discovering more. Keep an eye on our Twitter feed in the twilight hours for more.
