Housekeeping is the order of the day in this week’s Editorial.
The new routine is in place at Hope Lies at 24 Frames Per Second, and with that comes a new approach to Editorial. From next month this article is going fortnightly, thanks to the renewed sense of emphasis being placed on the middle of the week. To be honest, were it not for the fact that we skipped an Editorial last week then I’d have simply waited until next Sunday to point this out.
A packed week awaits on the site. The new home video edition of Wings leads the immediate couple of days to come, while Criterion’s new release of Thief also comes under scrutiny. Theatrical releases are scarce this coming Friday, with eyes seemingly turned to February and Valentine’s Day, which is positively packed to the rafters with interesting new releases, so I’ve decided to bump some things forward, spreading it out more evenly. That’s just the bones of the week ahead too, keep an eye on the site and on our Twitter feed for more.
