Appropriate, given the nature of the picture, but one lonesome release fills out the week in home video.
Gravity. Alfonso Cuarón’s space-set Techno-thriller was years in the making, and proved to be a bona-fide cultural phenomenon on release. Technically outstanding, and quite like no other movie, if not wholly engaging on every level, Gravity is one of the more interesting American movies of the past 12 months, and comes to disc in an edition packed with extra material that examines the film’s complex path to the big screen.
